That, my best writing is done with pen and paper and that I plan on doing so more and more.
I decided to write the last 40,000 words of my second novel entirely using pen and paper, then manually transcribing those words into Scrivener. The result?
My brain does one round of self-editing as I carefully choose my words while physically writing them down.
Those same words go through another filter while my brain processes what I've already written as I type them into the computer.
What I end up with is a better-written, more thoughtful book and a hardcopy backup to go with it.
Plus, I'll get to fill up a Moleskine notebook for the first time.
Thanks, Patrick. Best advice I've gotten all year.
